My head was foggy from the night before
Felt kind of groggy as we walked out the door
Me and the Missus, the Missus and I
Over Summerleaze under clear blue sky
We sang a few songs as the seagulls flew
Us and the birds having nothing to do
The sun shining down, spreading smiles all around
Bringing peace and love to this Cornish Town

The food didn’t come so we just drank booze
Walked down to Crooklets, throwing off our shoes

The rain came down as the reels got shorter
We rescued Bob and Joni from the old break water
Spent an hour with Jackie didn’t have to go far

The tribute flowed as the friendships grew
A whole week spent doing nothing new
Guitars and fiddles but no more rain
That squeezebox player never seen again
